As an "academic" I ought to have been publishing stuff throughout my "career" but I spent too much time enjoying writing for the Web, teaching, thinking and being. Also I never really thought I had much to say - not , of course, that that thought ever stopped me saying it!

However, one or two things did slip through the net and hit the presses, mostly in collaboration with other people.

Here they are, for what they're worth:

Evans, Grassler and Pouwels (eds.) 1997 Introduction My chapter

Evans, D., Grassler, H. & Pouwels, J. (eds.) (1997) Human Rights and Values Education in Europe: Research in educational law, curricula and textbooks. Freiburg: Fillibach

I co-wrote the Introduction with my fellow editors and contributed a chapter entitled, "Education for Citizenship: some recent English experience"

Nowadays you can't buy this gem - not even secondhand, for love nor money!

Gras & Cook (eds.) 2000 Grasping the Constellation

Evans, D. (2000)"Grasping the Constellation: Dennis Potter and the mythologies of popular culture" in V. W. Gras & J. R. Cook (eds.) The Passion of Dennis Potter: International Collected Essays, New York: St. Martin's Press.

It's so much in demand, that although it cost c. £30 when first published, you can maybe get a second-hand copy on Amazon for about £50! Try here.

... and , who knows, one day there may be more.

But I doubt it! :-)
